I have a pre-existing amputee wearing a vacuum-assisted socket four approximately 4 years. Patient suffers from RA and needs a Knee replacement in the worst way.
Has anyone worked with an amputee who needs a knee replacement on the amputated side.
Looking for some feedback to provide to my patient. If she continues to have extreme discomfort on the amputated side, I have mentioned to her about alternative socket designs such joint and corset. Don't want to suggest AKA.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
