I have a juvenile patient who suffered a TBI several years ago and we have been losing ground on his achilles with AFO management. He recently responded well to a three week serial casting protocol and his parents are asking about nocturnal use. I am looking for protocols used successfully by Orthotists who have managed kids to skeletal maturity. Do OTS night splints work? Should he attempt to wear his AFOs to bed?
