Hello colleagues,
I am working on providing a lady in her mid 40's with a partial foot prosthesis. She is non diabetic with good sensation and circulation. She has good skin condition w/ no history of chronic breakdown. Her amputation was the result of a traumatic injury during her adolesence. She is currently using a functional partial foot prosthesis with toe filler which has been successful for ADL's. However, she has inquired about a more aesthetic prosthesis for special occasions. Does anyone know of a central fab that can fabricate a prosthesis similar to those pictured below with a skin covering? Have you had success with providing these types of prosthesis for patients who need them for limited use? Thanks for any suggestions and for sharing any past experiences.
