Does anyone have any information about the 1099 tax filing requirement that
is part of the Healthcare Reform Law. I have little info regarding its
impact, but I have heard that there is a move in congress to repeal this
part of the legislation. It is quoted as a burdensome requirement for small
businesses.

This is a quote from our Congresswoman Capito:

This week, members of the Republican leadership team met with President
Obama at the White House to discuss how both parties can work together to
make government more accountable, more transparent and less costly. From
the Republican perspective, our number one goal is voting to maintain tax
rates where they are, instead of allowing a $3.8 trillion tax hike to hit
every single American taxpayer in less than 30 days. I have been unwavering
in my support of extending tax relief to everyone, including small
businesses, in order to spur job creation. Earlier this week, the Senate
failed to repeal the burdensome 1099 tax filing requirement included in the
Healthcare law, a provision that will levy major costs on every small
business in America.
