Hello list,
As seems to be somewhat typical, I received numerous email responses with
requests to share the info, but only one response with actual input
regarding the topic. I also received an email from a resident who is
researching the topic of business structure in the OandP field and was eager
to learn about this issue as well. Here's a great opportunity to help out a
resident!
One important point was brought up regarding clarifying performance and
how it is measured. Examples: sales vs. expenses, patient outcomes, survey
analysis, referral feedback, etc... All important factors--some more
measurable than others.
Below is my original post. With the economic climate as it is, it seems
more important than ever to understand the value of the services we provide.
If you are a business owner, in administration or a practitioner, your input
is important.
Again, I won't share any info with the list unless you specifically give
permission.
Any information you can provide--even if it is very vague, will be helpful.
Thanks again.

I am looking for information about the types of pay-for-performance programs
that are being used in our field today. I am interested in types of
contracts, pay structures, commissions, delineation of duties, etc. for O
and P practitioners.
Any sample contracts you could send would be greatly appreciated.
I will NOT post responses unless you give permission to do so and all names
will be removed.
Thanks in advance for your help.
