Hello Fellow practitioners,

A 40 year old female goes into a plastic surgery procedure totally healthy
with no upper extremity or neurological issues. She wakes post op day 1 and
presents with no flexion in her left arm. The etiology is unknown, MRI's
are being studied and prognosis is not determined. Currently, she has
intrinsic hand strength with wrist flexion extension, minimal supination, no
pronation. She has shoulder elevation strength, bi scapular abduction
motion and some proximal arm abduction. The surgeon is asking for
assistance with a type of orthosis that will flex her elbow and preposition
her hand into functional positions.

Can the list give some ideas of any type of orthoses offering one or more of
the following:

Flexion lift assist, positioned elbow locks, harness body powered cables,
low profile,

Thank you very much.
