Dear List-Serve Colleagues,
I am hoping to obtain some practical advice in establishing the fair market value of a P & O practice. I understand fully that there are both tangible and intangible assets to evaluate. What I would really like to know is if there is an acknowledged industry standard or formula, especially as it relates to the all important annual sales figure? And finally what combination of these assets usually constitutes the final asking price?
I would particularly like to hear from anyone who has experience either buying or selling an actual practice, or even from those who consider themselves to hold an informed business opinion, but obviously all input is welcome.
I will be happy to post any and all replies with the corresponding name if there is sufficient interest. Please be advised however, that I will treat all replies as private and strictly confidential unless the respondent specifically informs me I may do otherwise.
Thank-you in advance for any and all who are kind enough to respond to my inquiry.
Sincerely and with my best professional regards,
Kim L. Ruhl CPO/LPO
