Dear List,

Thank you to all who responded to my question about chargers for knees. Here
are some key takeaway points, that may be of interest

1. Make use of an inverter ( less then $30 ) that converts 12 volts to
house-current, then use the original charger.

2 The Plie-2 comes with a car charger at no cost. It is included with
every knee. In addition since the Plie uses removable batteries, so you
could provide the patient with
multiples..

3. Ossur does not make a car charger, but The Rheo can be turned on
and off, so you can extend life that way (if you're sitting in a car, on
a plane, in a boat, in a tree stand)

4. A car charger is available for the C-leg, and evidently OttoBock did
provide someone with a Solar charging solution when hiking the AT.

Thank you,
