Dear List,
We used to use SPT Composite laminating resin for quite some time and
generally had no problems with it form the stand point of strength or
workability, except for some odor, not strong, but annoying. Then we
switched to ECO resin. It had virtually no odor, was non-hazardous (hey,
let's go green!), but the strength was an issue. We had several failures (I
posted about a month ago). There were another two non-haz resins on the
market - by SPT and by Foresee. Both were taken off the market, for
different reasons. One - because they couldn't sell enough, the other -
increased cost of the compounds. How could you rate the odor of the
following 3 leading resins: SPT Composite, Foresee Epox-acryl and Advanced
Dura-Limb? I understand, one has to have an adequate ventilation, etc, but
somebody still has to handle the resin.
Regards,
Stephan
