Was wondering if anyone had any recommendations about a problem we are
currently having with straight last shoes. We are fitting SLS for
both daytime (no DBB attachment) and nighttime (DBB attached) wear.
For NT we are having no problems, but for DT shoes the forefoot is not
fitting into the shoes due to the height of the shoes being too narrow
in the forefoot (the foot physically cannot get into the shoes). This
is only a problem with kids in infant sizes 4 and under as at size 5
there are more options. Even by ordering the largest width size the
forefoot still does not fit into the shoes. We have tried stretching
the forefoot area, cutting slits to elongate the tongue, as well as
ordering 1/2 - 1 size larger. None of this has helped. We currently
use Markell TM-1641 for our DT shoes. Any help is appreciated. Will
post responses if anyone is interested. Thanks.
