Volunteers needed in Ibarra Ecuador for an opportunity to use your skills,
teach others, and have a great experience in a beautiful country. Ecuador
has 15 prosthetists for a population of 12 million.

 

The first formal prosthetics course in Ecuador will be taught in Ibarra
August 2-October 8, 2010. Volunteers needed to provide patient care and to
teach aspects of prosthetics in Ibarra Ecuador. One or two weeks of your
time will go a long way in helping the people of Ecuador. Housing will be
provided.

 

Coursework will take place in the mornings at Universidad Tecnica del Norte,
with hands-on practical experience at the clinic in the afternoons. The
free clinic, Protesis para la Vida, has been prostheses for more than two
