Hello list,

I have a 10 year old girl, had CVA in utero. Wears AFO on one side, but her
biggest issue is a 35 degree knee flexion contracture. It has been like
this as long as I remember. Has had Botox, PT thinks it is helping. They
won't consider surgery.

PT would now like to add something to provide a low load prolonged stretch
to hamstrings. The idea is for her to wear it most of the day at school
while she is seated. She does walk with a walker, but puts very little
weight through the affected side. Money is an issue, so I can't add an
ultraflex joint or similar with a quick disconnect and custom thigh section.

I was thinking more along the line of an RCAI type Premier Knee Corrective
Orthosis that would go over top of pants and AFO.

Any suggestions or thoughts on a low cost option?
