I've had several requests to post responses to my original question which read:
Hello List:
I am looking for clarification on what a L2270
describes. Is it strictly a varus / valgus correction T-strap that is
padded and / or lined and / or has a malleolus pad incorporated in it?
Or does it also describe a malleolus pad or pads like those thermoformed
into plastic AFO's without included a T strap ?
Your thoughts are
appreciated.
I received 12 responses, and in typical fashion when it comes to coding in P & O there is no consensus. Approximently 1/2 of the responses believed that L2270 describes both a T-strap and / or a malleolus pad. 1/2 believed that a malleolus pad was described by a L2275.
Sounds AOPA may have the final say.
