Good Morning All,

Here are the results of my original question: What code is everyone using for custom compression stockings?

1 -It's been crosswalked to A6549 which is compresson stocking or sleeve, not otherwise specified. I don't think Medicare covers it. Others payers may consider it with a manufacturers invoice for manual pricing.

Discontinued Codes Code Narrative Crosswalk to
Code

A6542 Gradient compression stocking, custom made A6549
A6543 Gradient compression stocking, lymphedema A6549

2 -I believe L6549 Stocking/sleeve NOS is the only choice

3 -Bill it out as a misc Lcode or you could still use the A6542. Make sure to have the pt sign an ABN and have the pt pay for it.

Thanks for such timely responses. As always this is such a great resource.
