Dear O&P Practitioners, Technicians and Allied Health Professionals,
The 2010 Annual Ohio Chapter AAOP Spring meeting will soon be here. On April
16th and 17th, the Chapter will, once again, host its meeting at the
beautiful four-diamond
< <URL Redacted>
o/index.do> Hilton Hotel at the fabulous < <URL Redacted>>
Easton Town Center in Columbus Ohio.
This year, we again have added value to this already exceptional and
not-to-be-missed program. New for 2010 are two half-day workshops on Friday
afternoon, one in orthotics presented by Bracemasters International, LLC,
and one in prosthetics offered by Touch Bionics, Inc. These two intensive
workshops make it worth your while to come to Columbus and plan on making a
weekend of it.
Our Saturday meeting will also provide approximately 60 exhibitors with
cutting-edge technology and services to make your professional life easier,
more effective and more productive.
Two featured speakers in our general sessions will open the meeting and set
the stage for the day:
. The opening keynote speaker, Rob Kistenberg, is an exciting,
internationally-recognized presenter. He will speak about the expanding
world of P&O outreach and how you might become more involved in these areas
of exciting and altruistic work. Rob is one of the most energetic and
dedicated individuals in making things happen for international efforts in
P&O.
. Our special speaker is Sergeant First Class (Ret.)
< <URL Redacted>> Dana Bowman. Sergeant First Class Bowman, a
member of the U. S. Army Golden Knight parachute team, will discuss the
powerful story his horrific mid-air collision accident, which resulted in
the loss of both of his legs and his fiercely dedicated climb to recovery
and life achievement. His story is not to be missed.
Finally, our Saturday afternoon will present our highly regarded breakout
sessions of prosthetics, orthotics, pedorthics, and technical.
