Text:
I am working with an active transtibial amputee that loves his prosthesis
with the vacuum system but encountered a problem last week.
He found sitting for an extended period of time on an airplane uncomfortable
as he could not release the vacuum as he could with his old pin lock system.
The Limb Logic does not allow air to flow back into the socket when turned
off.
Has anyone found a good way to release the vacuum (a valve?) through the
pant leg that does not involve pulling the pants up over the knee or
dropping them from above to break the seal of the sleeve? Something that
can be operated through the pant leg that will not draw undue attention?
Thank you,
