Text:
Today, had an order from a physician for an orthosis at the local hospital for a Medicare patient. Unfortunately, by the time I arrived at the hospital, the patient was transferred to local SNF. Tomorrow, I will travel to the SNF for measuring. Who do I bill on this? Do I have a window of time to bill hospital versus the SNF? Seems as if Medicare addresses these situations but I'm at a loss as to where to find the provision.
Anyone have knowledge of this? Thank you for your help in advance.
