Ohio is the twentieth state to introduce legislation that leaders of the
initiative are calling Ohio's Prosthetic Fairness Bill. HB 310 was
introduced by co-sponsors Representatives Nancy Garland (D-New Albany) and
Denise Driehaus (D-Cincinnati) on October 13, 2009 was referred to House
Health Committee, where two hearings have taken place.

Bob Thurman, an amputee from the Columbus, Ohio area and founder of Buckeye
Amputees for Action, is heading up the Ohio initiative and hopes to see the
bill voted out of committee before the holiday break.

For more information, please contact Bob Thurman at: <Email Address Redacted>
or Dianne Farabi at the Ohio Orthotics and Prosthetics Association (614)
