Hello,
I would like to take a very informal, unscientific poll about the use of ads in yellow pages and white pages. I will post responses. (The yellow pages man has come again and wants to get me into the latest greatest ad.)
1. Have you found using a type of increased ad size beyond a name, address, phone number to increase your business? (Basically any more than the most basic listing, that is sometimes free)
2. If you have found this to be the case, how did you know? (Did you use one of the tracking phone numbers? Do you keep records of where people are referred from? Other ways?)
3. If you have had increased business, is there a type of ad or size of ad that has been found to be effective, and also how did you discern this?
4. Have you found any of the internet advertising that phone books offer to be effective? If so, how?
5. Have you found having an increased internet presence to be very effective? If so, what is most effective? How do you know? (this question may make me sound like I'm living in the stone age, but I have always felt that this may not be as effective for the O and P demographic as other media, in spite of what internet people say.) I am looking for real world, you added internet something and saw a real result.
6. Have you found other forms of advertising to be effective? Radio, TV, others? And how have you determined this?
7. Have you found working with an advertising agency that coordinates all of this to be effective?
8. How many offices do you have?
9. Aside from direct payment of doctors, (Just Kidding) Actually I mean direct contact with doctors. (which I feel is probably the best focus of any advertising) where do you feel the best advertising dollars are spent?
10. Any other comments on advertising?
Thank you,
Nathan Keepers, CPO
