Hello All,
We are looking to hire another technician. We have previously hired folks
from local want-ads, out of technician schools, and through industry
magazines. My question is, what has worked best for you? Do you get more
responses from on-line classifieds than the magazines? Secondly, have you
had more success training someone fresh off the street, rather than re-train
someone coming out of one of the technician schools. My sense is that, while
I think the technician schools do a good job of teaching the basics of O and
P, the candidates they produce often can't see beyond the one way they were
shown to do things. Your thoughts?
