Hello All,

We have a patient that is currently in the hospital and in need of an
abdominal compression garment. He already has a basic elastic binder, but it
rides up on him almost immediately, due to his current pear shape. He also
has a myriad of tubes coming out of him that necessitate that the garment
not be able to ride up and into them. The ideal garment would also need to
be anterior opening, as he needs to be able to independently release tension
on the garment occasionally. We are of the opinion that he would not
tolerate perineal straps due to fecal and catheter tubes, let alone the
general discomfort associated with these straps. The ideal garment, we
believe, would be a pair of crotchless bicycle shorts with adjustable
anterior Velcro closure. Internet searches result in some very, very strange
things I won't describe nor detail (black leather is NOT a suitable material
for this garment!).

Is anyone aware of a garment that might be commercially available that
accomplishes what I have described above?

Thank you,
