Good morning list,

I have received several other emails giving me some more information.
All new information will be in Blue:

I would like to hear from practitioners and business owners/managers as
to how much you compensate CO's, CP's, and CPO's. Especially how the
numbers are derived, i.e.:

What base salary do you pay or are paid, based on what information.
1. A good practitioner will earn their pay in the first 3 months.
2. Varying percentages of net sales: net sales= 6x salary, net
sales= 10x salary, 12-14% of net sales (all formulas include total pay
compensation)
3. Some suggested: CO's $40-60K w/3 yrs exp, CP's $75-95K w/5 yrs
exp., CPO's $75-95K w/5 yrs exp.
4. CO's 18% net sales, CP's 13% net sales
5. Resident salaries from $30K-45K depending on abilities.
6. Most good CO's $80K and most good CP's &90K-145K all with at
least 10 years experience
7. Very very good CO completely reliable, self motivated, no
problems $95K plus bonus

How many years experience (is experience based on years in the field,
years after certification or a combination of both.) Do you pay/get a
percentage of sales or net sales (actual received
amount) as bonuses and how often. More people felt that experience is
post certification, some used pre and post. Some do not receive bonuses
(their salaries are based on net sales); some received low base salary
and receive bonuses based on net sales. One respondent said the bonus
was paid every 6 months. Several people warned about giving any type of
incentive/commission/bonus based on sales as this leads to
creative/improper billing to increase ones numbers.

Do practitioners receive a bonus or more salary when they get certified,
if yes how much? Almost all said no, one respondent reported an increase
in salary after certification. $5000 for each extra certification.

How much time are you required to work per week? 45-65 hrs/week, the
average seemed to be around 50 hrs/wk. Same

What health and retirement compensation do you get? Most reported that
employee's health is paid in full, but must pay some or all of spouse
and family. Some have dental, some have disability. Most have a 401K
with 3%-4% match.

Are you required to take call? Only one respondent said no, all others
said yes. On call the norm, some get compensated for on call time, some
get percentage of work, others no compensation.

Are you paid mileage? Yes, some at flat rates ranging from $.25/mi to
$.35/mi, one respondent said they received a car allowance but mileage
tracking was required but gave no monetary details. I assume mileage was
paid at the federal allowed rate, but that is an assumption. Mileage
reimbursed but below Fed rate, another reimbursed at Fed rate.

Is your cell phone paid for or do you get reimbursed if so at what rate?
Some get company plan, some are reimbursed up to $99/mo. Some get no
allowance or phone, use their own. Cell phone paid, another didn't even
have/need cell phone.

I received a total of 22 replies, 8 of those shared the above
information, the rest wanted me to post this information. 2 more replies
and two phone calls.

Anybody that wants to discuss personally what I have found out feel free
to email me and I will discuss any information I can over the phone.

Paul and all that respond I sincerely thank you for your time and
information,

Regards to all,

Rick CPO
