Dear list,
I need to make a specialized exoskeletal biking prosthesis that will require
a wood block for the base, but it will not be shaped like a regular ankle
due to the need to connect pedal clips directly to the base in a location
that would be much more anterior than the location that a traditional ankle
block would allow. I do not want to attach a prosthetic foot to the
prosthesis. I haven't done an exo in years. What would be the best type of
wood to use in this situation? Is there any supplier that sells large
blocks still that I could cut a piece off of? Thanks.
