Medicare has a policy, that if a custom device is fabricated, and the patient cancels it, you may bill for it with an explanation. But suppose a device is made, and the patient does not show up for the appointment, with no phone call. We call them, they schedule again, they don't show or call. What if this happens for 2 months, 6 months, a year? Is this considered a cancellation, or can a patient not show for an appointment indefinitely, and then you cannot bill for it? Any input is appreciated.
