We need your attendance at the 2009 Policy Forum to help educate the new Congress about O&P before they start making decisions that will affect you and your patients!
What is the Policy Forum?
* The Policy Forum is an important two-day event that will give the O&P profession the opportunity to educate the new Congress before they begin making decisions on health care reform, Medicare, parity and all the issues important to our profession.
* The Opportunity to be “in the know,” and learn about important pending regulatory and legislative policies.
* AOPA will make sure you are well-prepared to meet with your member of Congress. AOPA will even make your appointment for you.
When is the Policy Forum?
The 2009 Policy Forum will be held April 22 – 23, 2009.
What is the Schedule?
The program begins on Wednesday, April 22 at 1:00 PM with education Sessions:
* Learn about the key issues including health care reform and parity legislation
* Keynote speaker
* The dos and don’ts of visiting your member of congress and a Simulated Congressional Visit
* Review Key messages
* A reception and dinner will be held for all attendees beginning at 6:30 PM
The program concludes on Thursday, April 23 after congressional visits.
Thursday morning begins with a super charge breakfast and message review.
Hotel Accommodations
A limited number of rooms are available at the Crystal City Hyatt Regency at Ronald Reagan National Airport until April 1, while supplies last. Call (800) 233-1234 to reserve your room at the AOPA rate of $239.
Registration
This event has been shortened to allow more O&P professionals to attend. This meeting is so important to O&P that AOPA is subsidizing the cost. Registration is only $75, which includes Wednesday’s policy briefing, reception and dinner, plus Thursday morning’s “Super Charge” breakfast to prepare for congressional visits.
