list,
I have a new case for a eval on a 15 year old female with CP and scoliosis. We did an initial eval and the biggest complaint is that she leans so far to her left that she can no longer support her head and even has broken her seating device for head support. I immediately thought about a TLSO to stabilize the trunk and then look at the head after that to see if anything else was needed. I am not sure the severity of the spine and have not seen X-rays, actually she has not been monitored at all for this. I know it is worsening and she progresses each year. She is non communicative and is in a chair. Any suggestions?
Thanks
