Dear John and list,
As many of you may know, the inclusion of attachments such as images and
files has always been rejected by the listserver. This has been intentional
as a method of preventing the spread of viruses, etc.
You may have seen Jon Batzdorff's recent posting that included a link to
images. This is something new that I have been doing by providing a web
page with images etc that can be included in the posting to allow the poster
to include images.
We are working on a new function to help automate this so that I can then
review the images for appropriateness, confidentiality, etc. prior to
posting. But for now, these pages and links must be made manually. If you
have an image that would be helpful in describing your situation, you can
email it to me and I will then send you a link to include. Images will be
reviewed the same way that each posting is reviewed. Patient privacy is an
absolutely important factor that must be observed.
More information will come soon about this new functionality.
Happy New Year! Much more to come in 2009!
