The physician wants a splint that will adapt to apply gentle flexion and
extension forces to all MCP joints post surgery, so as to maintain ROM
during the post-op period. He'd like to be able to subtly apply
varus/valgus corrective forces to each joint as needed to prevent
unwanted motion restriction. We previously used a prefabricated
Swanson hand splint, but apparently they are no longer made. Is
anyone aware of a current design that can provide the above-described
functions?
