Hello List-Serve,
I need to clarify a previous post: I would like to know how people are
billing Medicare for C-leg repairs. Do you go with the 90 day repair or
the one year? Is Medicare requesting invoices from the Manufacturer? Are
you getting paid and if so how long and what process are they putting
you through. I am in Region C.
I have received mostly replies asking me to post responses which I will
definitely do, however I have received some indicating that I am
charging for a warranty repair. The C-leg in question is out of warranty
(hence the 90 or one year repair option), which I forgot to include but
assumed most would realize that I (we) don't charge nor are we allowed
to charge for warranty repairs. As most should know it is the out of
warranty stuff that is the problem with any of these microprocessor
controlled devices be it upper or lower extremity.
I have been in contact with AOPA and other entities to get help, but I
would really like to hear from those in the trenches that have
actually been there and done that.
Thank you in advance for your time and responses.
Rick, CPO
