Text:
Ohio Willow Wood returned as the First Gold Level Sponsor for 2009 for OPAF
and the First Clinics. With their generous donation of $10,000, OWW has
renewed their support in the OPAF as the Official Philanthropy of the US
Orthotic and Prosthetic Community.
As an OPAF Board Member, a corporate sponsor of OPAF, and a First Clinic
volunteer, I have witnessed first hand the impact that the First programs
have on those who attend. Attendees leave these clinics with a feeling of
accomplishment. It is not uncommon to see them with smiles beaming from ear
to ear, and their heads held high. They are given the opportunity to learn
about adaptive sports from seasoned professionals, and to learn more about
themselves, as well. These clinics teach them that they can accomplish
goals that they once thought to be impossible. They learn that others
believe in them. An instilled faith that was once lost, is brought back
once again, said Lisa Arbogast of Ohio Willow Wood.
We are so thankful for Ohio Willow Wood's continued investment in the work
that OPAF is doing with adaptive recreational sports programs and clinics.
We will continue the work and offer quality instruction to those individuals
served by Orthotic & Prosthetic community across the country, said Robin
Burton, OPAF Executive Director.
