I would be grateful to hear from members of the listserve who have
experience using the Omega CAD CAM system and its laser scanner to digitize
trans tibial residual limbs for sockets incorporating Ossur Seal-In liners.
Digitizing over the liner with all the ridges, etc doesn't seem the way to
go. The residual limbs in question are relatively short, fleshy and soft.
Alternative forms of suspension are not an option.
My first instinct is to digitize over a shrinker, but I am in doubt about
how to allow for the differnce in thickness of the shrinker versus the liner
and how much in ply or percentage to reduce the volume.
Specific suggestions garnered from experience would be most welcome.
