Thank you to all that responded. Below is a summary of emails we
received. For those celebrating, happy holiday weekend.
Sincerely,
Ed Skewes
I too have had some interest in the Jaipur foot. I have never had the
honor of seeing one in person but I did come across this on the
internet. I thought you might be interested it this publication if you
haven already seen it. I have attached it to this e-mail.
Mr. Eskewes
You should visit the website www.jaipurfoot.org
< <URL Redacted>> . I have copied this mail to Mr. Tarun
Kulshrestha who used to be the Prosthetics Chief for Jaipur Foot
organization till January, and continues to be involved on board level.
He will be happy to assist you with any questions. I have also copied
Dr. Mathur on this mail who is the Medical Director of the organization,
and is very helpful.
Hopefully you will be able to get the answers you are looking for. I
know that there are a lot of places in the world that call themselves as
Jaipur foot, but I suggest you talk directly to the people where it all
started for best information and best quality product, as Jaipur foot
has come a long way since it started, and is in it's most modern form
right now. Another credible source here in the USA is Dr. Andrew Hansen
who has done a lot of work with the organization.
Hope that helps. Call me anytime should you need anything else.
Amit

Good evening.
You might be able to purchase good quality foot
from,Jaipur,Rajasthan,India..
Dear Ed.
Mobility India in Bangalore sells a Jaipur style feet.
About the quality, you should consult the various feet tests the ISPO
has published.
If you do not provide them to patients, what do you do with them?
For bookends you can use the lower quality as wel.
Regards,
I volunteered at Mobility India (MI) in '99 and went to the TVS Rubber
plant in Madurai, India. http://www.tvsrubber.com/contactus.asp
They make the most durable Jaipur feet on the market according to the
MI. We were there to ask them to make the ankle bolt available in both
imperial and metric threads. At the time the cost per foot was so low I
couldn't believe it! If I remember correctly it was less than $20 per
foot! The website doesn't say anything about the feet but I know they
had 2 men who made them in a factory of over 1000 employees.
Hope this helps!
Cheryl
