I had several request to post my responses. I think all of the responses have stopped coming in now. We have made our decision on what software to go with and I want to thank everyone who gave us their opinions. We looked at every software that everyone mentioned and decided on the one that we feel will work best for our facility. Below are the responses minus the sender's name:

Thanks again everyone!

> Your practitioners and technicians will not benefit from Futura or

> Because of that it simply cannot do the things we immediately started

> When you go to a meeting and see them, you will already know who they are

> getting better as well. The reporting tool is nothing less than amazing,
> great info in a format that is importable to Excel etc.
>We have multiple offices, all linked to OPIE. The master scheduler for all

> about status of any sort, any person on our staff can look into the appropriate

> trips to the back or delays - it should be called efficiency instead of
> OPIE. Ordering is so much simpler now and we know exactly how much we
> spend on parts for every patient we see.
>I have also used OPIE in a two other practices I consult with and it has
> dramatically changed the way those practices do business. To this day I
> think the best contribution I have made to their business was introducing
> them to OPIE. They certainly thought I was a genius for it. All I can say
> is give OPIE a serious look before you invest in any other software.
> A Happy OPIE user.

we use furtura ,and have for two years. no problems. cost effective, and great support.

Hello Ms. Horton,

Have you looked at Medflex? www.medflex.com. We were in the same
> position as you and quickly threw out Brightree (all flash, no

> Futura I would steer away from. Opie is good.

Love opie. Clinician based, good customer service. Hope that helps.

Choose Futura! Stabile software, very reliable and the greatest support team one could wish for.
And no, I am not on their payroll...
It is just that good. You don't ever have to worry about anything, there is a glitch, you call: they fix it!

Tonya,

Tonya,

OPIE, especially from the clinical HIPPA side. Inventory tracking and
getting an individual cost of a custom item is great! They work well
with you in support and training.

I've used OPIE for three years but not the billing Module. For clinical, technical and purchasing it is very good. Would never switch.

I do not use any of these myself, however am familiar with Futura. I do not like that program and many have questioned the reliability of some of the reports. Support is not good. I have seen demos on both Opie and Brighttree and know people using both. If you have off site employees Brightree is good as it is web based. Opie interacts with many suppliers and has good features. These are the two I would look at to see which best matches your practice needs.
