Dear list,
I have a 10 yo female gymnast/diver who was dx with a Pars fx last year.
This has been treated with an anti-lordotic LSO and has been transitioned to
an elastic lumbar orthosis. She wears this approximately 16 hours a week
during gymnastics and is only getting about 2 to 2 1/2 months out of the
orthosis before the elastic stretches out. The doctor would like her to
continue wearing the support during sports, but we have already provided two
since July and I am trying to find something more durable so I am not
replacing them every 2 months. The other issue is that her waist falls
between 18 - 24.
I will post results anonymously.
Thanks,
