Dear ListServ,
I seem to remember hearing of an early socket design, created shortly
after WWII, that was created by placing a patient's residual limb in
a container of ball bearings. A powerful magnet was applied and the
limb shape was preserved. Does anyone recall hearing of something
similar or is this just an O & P myth?
Thanks,
Gerry
