Without Full Mobility
These People Face A Bleak Future.
Since 1989 Hope Rehabilitation Society has worked hard to
transfer the latest rehabilitation technology in Pakistan. Hope Center has achieved much in its short
history.
Every year HOPE provides about 500 artificial limbs and 3500
braces to the sufferers of polio, paralytic conditions, spinal disorders, club
feet, fractures and other musculo-skeletal disorders.
In 1990 HOPE provided free of cost limbs to 15% of cases and
this figure increased to 60% in 2006.
Keeping in view the dire need of the people who lost their
limbs ( amputees ) the HOPE Society, in 2008, has started a new welfare Project
named ‘Limbs for All’ purely for the
amputees. It is a first of its kind in our country. This Project has been
launched and announced in the holy month of fasting i.e. 2nd Ramazan
ul Mubarik. ( September 3, 2008 ).
Under this Project, the poor amputees who never got
artificial legs should report immediately to obtain the legs free
of cost in the holy month of Ramazan. If the financial support from the
government, NGOs and philanthropists continued for ever, all the poor amputees
w’d become useful & productive member of the Pakistani society.
Without full mobility these people face a bleak future.
Disability usually means life without education or employment. Disabled
children can't go to school, disabled adults are unable to work and support
their families. As a result many live as outcasts and beggars.
You are requested to donate generously to share the responsibility,
enabling the institution stand on its feet to boldly face the challenge and
fulfill the commitment to the disabled.
Sincerely,
Dr. Khalid N. Niazi
