Text:

We have long felt that we were fighting the war of the anecdote when
it came to amputee preferences. Many people seem to have an intuition or
opinion about what most amputees want with regard to form, function, and
other issues. There is some literature, but nothing comprehensive,
particularly as regards upper extremity. We'd like to conduct an
amputee preference census, so called because we'd like each and every
voice heard.

We'd like to hear from amputees, prosthetists and technicians about the
needs and desires of amputees and the professionals who work with them.
We aren't collecting or using any personally identifiable data, and will
publish the results of the data in aggregate form. Please vote early,
and not often, and let us know what you think:

There is a place in the survey to comment on it, but feel free to send
me your comments as well.
