Dear Colleagues,
I have a very strange request here that is not directly related to
prosthetics and orthotics but one of you may be able to help me out.
A friend of mine who is a pathologist at the university of Florida is doing
volunteer work in Sierra Leone providing assistance in patient care and
education for women who have fistula's secondary to challenges during labor
and delivery. The organization that she will be working with is the West
Africa Fistula Foundation <URL Redacted>
She is in need of a model of a skeletal female pelvis that she can use for
educational purposes. She is operating on a low/no budget, so if anyone
would happen to have an old skeletal model of a pelvis floating around their
closets that isn't being put to use and you would like to donate it to a
good cause or part with it for a reasonable fee it would be gladly
appreciated.
I know that this is a stretch, but I am always surprised at the results you
can get when you ask a crazy question to people in this profession!
Thanks for your help.
