Dear List,

I went out on my own and started a small prosthetic practice about 4 years ago. To date, things have been going fine by only offering prosthetic services and not becoming involved with orthotics.

A week ago, I was put in touch with a Physician who is in the beginning process of starting a wound clinic in a large area hospital. He specifically contacted me to inquire if I would be interested in pursuing my C-Ped credentials so that I could team up with his clinic and be contracted to provide custom foot orthotic service for his clinic. He is willing to wait the time it will take for me to gain my credentials.

My questions is does anyone have any information regarding L-Code re-reimbursement for custom foot orthotics that are contracted through a hospital? I want to be certain that if I commit to this opportunity, it will be worth the time and cost of pursuing my C-Ped credentials.

Thank you in advance for any help,
