Hi all --

I hope this is an appropriate question to put on this list:

A woman in prison in Connecticut is a bilateral amputee (she has tibial hemimelia in both legs).  She's 22; her amputation was when she was an infant.  Anyway, the point is that she's been unable to get working prosthetics for two years, while in prison, and her lawyer (whom I know) is looking for a prosthetist or a prosthetic expert, preferably in DC or maybe Connecticut, to consult.  I think both amputations are above knee.  Apparently they correctional health care folks have tried, at least somewhat, but haven't been able to fit her.  I don't think she had any comparable problems before she went to prison (but that may be wrong).

So if you know someone (or are someone) whom the lawyer could talk to, please let me know, or contact the lawyer directly. I'm spreading this message because my son is an amputee, so I'm a bit more linked into this stuff than the lawyer is, and she asked my help. But she's the one looking for the reference, and her info is:
