Hi List members: I received many responses. Thanks to all who
responded!
Original post:
We have a physician who insists he's heard of a molded silicone sleeve
for the toe that is designed to protect a wound, but he can't remember
the name of the company that makes it. Any clues?
Thanks,Randy McFarland, CPO Fullerton, CA

Silipos

I think that it is silipos.

Check-out Silipos, SiloPad Digial Cap. They com in a couple of sizes.

check silipos for Digicaps.

Silipos makes products along these lines. Check the Alimed catalogue.

Could he have mistaken the SILIPOS toe sleeves for a custom molded
silicon sleeve?

Spenco used to make a silicone toe cap, very soft, covered with a
flannel type cloth. Also made other shapes. I haven't seen for awhile
so don't know if still made.

Silipos makes digit protectors, some are open like a tube others are
closed to protect the distal end also. I am not sure if you can use them
over open wounds. They would tend to trap moisture.
