hiya,
i have a post-polio bk with locking liner, polycentric joints and cuff. she wears apls gpdt 16-6 liner. according to the alps fitting criteria she should fit in a 20-6. the liner fits rather snuggly.
my problem is that she sweats a lot and after an hour the liner has about an inch of distal gapping. i thought that perhaps the joint and thigh cuff were pulling her out of the liner as she flexed her knee, but im not so sure anymore. she has had several sockets made by different practitioners, all with the same issue.
i think it is just an issue of sweating too much. she has tried a sock under the liner and says it gets too sweaty. she doesn't want to part from the locking pin. she says anti-perspirant doesn't work. her doctor suggested a smaller liner, which i have on order, but im not convinced this will resolve the issue.
any ideas on what you think the root cause is and how to fix it would be great.
thanks, jeremy
