The Northwest Chapter of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists will be holding its annual continuing education conference May 1, 2, and 3 at the Courtyard by Marriott Downtown Bellevue WA Hotel.

Topics will include discussion of 3 different approaches to functional electric stimulation for pain management and muscle control (drop foot, etc), discussion of Targeted Muscle Reinnervation, several new approaches to upper limb management, including the i-hand, Freedom Innervations new electronic knee, the new Bioquest prosthetic foot, as well as others. Thursday will have 5 different manufacturer's training seminars including Advanced Walkaid training, Touch Bionics, Socket Cone fabrication techniques from Seattle Systems/Trulife, Freestep FES training, and Dynamic AFO applications. Friday will include an all day Technical Program discussing topics such as Crow Boot fabrication and modification techniques, State of the Art Adhesives for the P & O industry, as well as other fabrication skills
