I have a patient who is a Left TT traumatic amputee, 40 y/o active mother of
twin 3y/o. The family is going to Hawaii this summer and she is very
cosmesis conscious. They plan to spend a lot of time at the beach/in the
ocean without shoe. Assuming financing is not an issue, can anyone give
recommendations on prosthesis that will be functional for beach activities,
look like a real leg and yet be durable enough to stand up to the elements
I've described. Pt's everyday prosthesis is OWW locking liner, FlexFoot
Axia, and Flexskin. Any suggestions will be appreciated. I will post
responses, so if you would like for your suggestions not to be posted please
say so.
Thanks,
