I'm forwarding this to the list in an attempt to help out a good project
started by a friend of mine. Info is below.

I wanted to tell everyone about community project that I started called
Uniquely You. It's a free project that's about kids & teens with
disabilities and connecting them with artists. Together they team up to make
personalized designs for their prosthetic, wheel chair etc. I've attached a
PDF information page about the event. The page will say that it's an event
for kids & teens with prosthetic limbs. We have opened it to anyone with a
disability who would enjoy the project. In the end it's a little something
we can do to help someone feel proud of what makes them unique.
The event takes place on March 9th at Coal Harbour Community Centre in
Vancouver and it's when the participants and artists get to meet. It's also
where the designs get applied. The designs itself are converted into vinyl
tattoos that are long lasting yet can be taken off whenever you choose.
I spoke to a coordinator at Canuck Place last week and some examples were
kids who wanted to pimp my ride - aka pimp their wheel chairs.
There is a time crunch so what I request of you is please help me spread the
word of this project. If you know of anyone who'd be really keen please
forward our info and tell them to call us as soon as possible.
Thanks
