Thanks for the responses.
Start summary:
We have been very happy with a company in Iowa, O & P 1. We have used them for years. Recently on the east coast ,we are getting EXCELLENT prosthetic results with C-Fab 1. Hope this helps.
Interesting that you posted this question. We are in a position where we were searching for Cfabs for a National level contract with us for 3 different time zones for our members. We had no problem finding excellent fabs for the East Coast and Midwest time zones. However, we searched and made calls to our members out West and not a single Cfab came up on our radar. We, like you, do not just want any Cfab, they need to have specific talents and skills to meet our needs. We ended up telling our membership that there is no one available out West.
This may be an opportunity for you to really help us out. If you find a fab that meets your criteria out West, would you please post your findings. I am sure if we approached them with our dilemma, they may be able to assist us.
The best person for metal and leather is Jim in Las Vegas.
702-336-1356. I have had issues with lots of others, but he does great
work in a timely fashion. I would highly recommend him
Allow me to introduce myself and the company I represent. My name is Lu
Anne Temple and I represent Becker Oregon, a division of Becker
Orthopedic. We are located on the West Coast in Albany, OR. Becker
Oregon is a complete central fabrication facility offering laminates,
thermoplastic and metal & leather fabrication and is committed to the
highest standards of workmanship and customer service. In addition to
being certified to fabricate the Becker Orthopedic Stance Control
joints, we are also certified to fabricate Fillauer and Horton.
With a staff of 17 technicians our turn-around is some of the best in
the industry. We offer a 5-day turn-around on M/L thermoplastic or
laminated KAFO. Three day turn-around for M/L, thermoplastic AFO and
CRO boots. We also offer rush services and a certified orthotist for
consultation.
I would like to extend my prosthetic services to your company. I am
a small central fab doing mostly lower extremity prosthetics. I do not
currently do metal and leather but I do know someone who might be able to
help in that area. Orthopedic Fabricators Inc (916) 383-8815. Ask for Doug
Brown. I am not sure if they are doing prosthetics at this time.
If you are interested in my prosthetic services feel free to call or
email. You can also check my website.
I am starting a central fab. I do excellent orthotic work, pediatrics
and metal work are my specialty. I'm in San Antonio, Texas. Probably
3 days UPS. Our metal work is the best. If interested call me. Kevin
Matthews, CO/LO (210) 657-8100
