Dear List-
I would like to know if and how you/your company is billing patients in Skilled Nursing Facilites (SNF), on Medicare Part B, for OTS Diabetic Shoes and Custom Diabetic Inserts? Custom Orthotic Devices (AFOs, KAFOs).
Are you or your company getting purchase orders from the SNF OR are you billing the patient on Medicare Part B directly? What are your experiences with reimbursement?
Does anyone have advice on billing and reimbursement for these or similare devices?
Thank you.
Kimberly Hill, LCO, BECP
