I just evaluated a new amputee, right AK, that would like to continue
horseback riding once he gets his prosthesis. I've only ever met
folks with BK amputations who ride. Are there any special
considerations for an AK that anyone would like to share? I can
guess swinging his leg over the horse will be challenge number one,
but beyond that, any other considerations relative to the
stirrups? or alignment? or componentry?
Perhaps I'm making more of this than I need to, but it just struck me
as an activity that might have some details that I may overlook.
Thanks,
