Dear Colleagues,
In absolute haste, I'd like to express my appreciation for the kind responses and all donations to the O&P digital library. I wanted to follow up on questions that have been emailed to me as well as define a donation cookie schedule. The Virtual Library is apart of the Digital Resource Foundation for the Orthotic and Prosthetic Community (www.drfop.org), it is a 501 C non-profit and all donations are Tax Deductible. Paul Prusakowski, among other volunteers created this emerging and evolving digital library. Paul is also the one who has created this email list. A modest donation as a thank you to Paul is encouraged and would be put to immediate and effective use. As of this Monday, December 17th, 2007 all donations of $100 or greater will receive home baked cookies from me, if so desired. Donations that were taken in this weekend will be sent cookies, so Pat you will receive your peanut butter cookies when I get back from travel and I say in all modesty they will be
wonderful. It's simple economics, it costs an estimated $14 to bake and ship 2 dozen cookies in the USA. It's a bake sale for a library, all supplies and postage come out of my pocket, but do represent an opportunity cost to the library, hence the donation cookie schedule.
Donations can be handled right on the library's website:
