Dear Colleagues and friends,
We would like to ask your attention for a Special Issue in IEEE
Transactions on Neural Systems and Rehabilitation Engineering 2008 on:
Lower Extremity Exoskeletons for Assistance and Training of Human Gait
Upper extremity devices for training and assistance have a history of
more than 10 years. However, the field of rehabilitation is now seeing
new machines and therapeutics for training of the lower extremity, in
particular, of the human gait. The special theme of this issue is Lower
Extremity Exoskeletons and Devices for Assistance and Training of the
Human Gait. We invite research papers dealing with robotics, machines,
and training in this foundational area.
Authors interested in submitting a paper on this topic should notify the
guest editors at their earliest convenience with a tentative title. The
issue will have a mix of invited and contributed papers relating to this
topic.
The key dates are:
(i) Submission Date: February 1, 2008
(ii) First Review: April 1, 2008
(iii) Final Accepted Papers: June 1, 2008
(iv) Publication Date: October 2008
